PRODUCTS DETAILS

Plastisol also known as plastisol ink or oil-based glue, is a resinous non-solvent ink that consists of PVC resin, plasticizer, color material and other additives. The following is a detailed introduction to thermosetting ink:

Peculiarity

Physical properties:

The plastisol ink is paste, thixotropic, thick when placed, it will become thin after stirring, and the temperature will affect its viscosity, low viscosity in summer, high viscosity in winter.

Curing characteristics:

It is almost not dry at room temperature, and when heated to a certain temperature (usually 150℃-180℃), cross-linking reaction will occur and cure, forming a flexible PVC film, and closely combined with the fiber.

Printing features:

no plug, no frequent plate washing, can use 350 mesh screen printing, network cable up to 8 lines or more, fine pattern, printing dot can be wet sleeve wet continuous printing, improve work efficiency. The cured ink film has good elasticity, high adhesion fastness, and both dark and light fabrics can be printed.

Environmental protection characteristics:

no solvent, minimal volatilization at room temperature, friendly to the environment.

Apply

Plastisol ink is widely used in textile printing field, suitable for 100% cotton, cotton/polyester blend, polyester, denim and other fabrics, especially suitable for 150℃ and breathable fabrics. It can achieve a variety of printing effects, such as three-dimensional right Angle, round corner, stone effect, etc., can also be used for viscose bead process.

Advantage

Wear resistance

The cured film has high hardness, excellent wear resistance, light resistance and chemical resistance.

High production efficiency

Fast curing speed, suitable for high-speed printing.

Bright colors

It has good color reproduction performance and can print out full and bright colors.

Environmental health

no volatile organic compounds, harmless to the environment and human health.

Precautions for use

Substrate requirements
not suitable for plastic, metal, glass and other non-permeable materials and nylon cloth after waterproof treatment.
Curing conditions
curing temperature and time need to be adjusted according to the specific ink and substrate, generally at 150℃-180℃ baking 1-3 minutes.
Equipment requirements
need to be equipped with heating equipment and corresponding printing press.
Plastisol inks play an important role in the printing industry, especially in the field of textile printing, because of their excellent performance and wide application range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Plastisol Ink?
Plastisol ink, also known as oil-based glue, is a resinous non-solvent ink consisting of PVC resin, plasticizer, color material, and other additives.
Q: What are the key curing conditions for Plastisol Ink?
Plastisol ink does not dry at room temperature. It must be heated to a temperature of 150°C - 180°C and baked for 1 - 3 minutes to achieve cross-linking and complete curing.
Q: Which substrates are suitable for Plastisol Ink?
It is highly suitable for textile printing on 100% cotton, cotton/polyester blends, polyester, and denim. It is not suitable for non-permeable materials like plastic, metal, glass, or waterproof-treated nylon.
Q: How does temperature affect the viscosity of Plastisol Ink?
Plastisol ink exhibits thixotropic physical properties. Its viscosity is temperature-dependent, showing lower viscosity in summer (warmer temperatures) and higher viscosity in winter (cooler temperatures).
Q: Is Plastisol Ink environmentally friendly?
Yes. Plastisol ink is solvent-free, has minimal volatilization at room temperature, contains no volatile organic compounds, and is harmless to the environment and human health.
Q: What printing advantages does Plastisol Ink offer?
It prevents screen plugging, eliminates frequent plate washing, and allows wet-on-wet continuous printing. It yields high-definition fine patterns using up to 350 mesh screen printing.
